Seasonal Checklist

Get your home ready for spring!

  • Clean out gutters from leaves and sticks. Make sure the downspouts carry water at least three feet away from the home.
  • Look for damage on siding, windows and exterior doors.Caulk areas around windows and doors where water can enter.
  • Replace furnace filter with a quality filter such as a micro-filter.
  • Make sure you have a working carbon monoxide detector and smoke detectors. If you have not replaced the batteries in the last 12 months, do it soon.
  • Dust the ceiling fan paddles. Do this carefully so you do not break a paddle.
  • Wash windows and the glass in the door and storm door.
